Autumn in the Christchurch Botanic Gardens

Field Trip: Wednesday 23rd May 2018

Trip Guide: Maureen

Trip Report:  Jillian

An enthusiastic NPSNZ group of 10 meet at the Botanic Gardens in Christchurch on Wednesday 23rd May.  Maureen has an uncanny ability to remember and find little gems and she was well on form today.  It would be tricky to retrace the route she took us.

Even though we’ve had an awesome autumn we concentrated on end of season treasures with late bloomers, seed tips and tiny fungi all targeted.  It was a great morning’s nattering and clicking which finished up with refreshments at the Ilex cafe.  Thanks so much Maureen.

The quote of the day came from Mr Peter President who described NPSNZ as ‘A social club with a serious photography problem’.
