NPSNZ Field Trip: Molesworth and Muller Stations, South Marlborough
Date: 8th to 10th February 2019 (Friday to Sunday)

Attractions: Travelling through Molesworth – NZ‘s largest farm stretching from Hanmer to the Upper Awatere Valley. This is big country with grand landscapes, river valleys ringed by mountains and often isolated over winter. A special place, rich in history of early N Z back country settlement and site of a major cattle raising enterprise today. Overnighting at Muller, a sheep and cattle station approx.14 km NE of Molesworth. Return journey to Hanmer will be partly overland via a secondary route to the western side of Molesworth and then south over a 1347m asl pass to Lake Tennyson and along the boundary of St James Conservation Area. Be prepared to be amazed.
